Lime in de Coconut

We know that while we're lucky enough to call the Virgin Islands home, not everyone is as fortunate. If you're looking for a fun, tropical drink to enjoy when you're back from your Caribbean vacation, look no further than the classic Lime in de Coconut cocktail. Our fresh spin? Add a little salt! Surprise!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • Virgin Islands Sea Salt
  • 3 oz Cruzan Rum (you can use Coconut, but we prefer light)
  • 2 oz (4 tablespoons/about 2 limes) Fresh Lime Juice 
  • 4 oz (8 tablespoons) Coco Lopez
  • Ice, Ice, Baby

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Cover a small surface (or plate) with a generous amount of Virgin Islands Sea Salt. Take a small section of lime and run the pulp along the rim of your glass. Dip the glass into the salt and rotate to ensure all sides of the glass are rimmed with salt. Add ice to the glass and set aside.

 

Pour all ingredients (besides Sea Salt) into a blender (or shaker if you prefer your bevs on the rocks). Blend/combine until the drink is at the consistency of your choice. Pour, serve and enjoy!
